The Key to Comfort May Be Above Your Ceiling

The Texas sun beats down on roofs pretty hard, and if there's not enough insulation in the attic, that heat is going to power through to the rooms below.


Blown-in insulation creates a nice, even layer of protection across the attic, able to fill in around joists and other spaces that are difficult to cover.

Your AC Shouldn't Be Fighting Your Attic

If your home isn't cooling the way it should, it makes sense to think it's the AC itself. Upstairs rooms are always cooking, that one side of the house never cools down, and the unit seems to be kicking on constantly.


It can be the AC unit, but often times, inadequate insulation is simply allowing the home to take on heat faster than the system can get rid of it.

We Install Blown-In Insulation

Blown-in insulation, as the name suggests, doesn't come in rolls. It's loose insulation that is spread across the attic and can fill gaps around framing and other awkward spaces, creating more even coverage.


It's also possible to add blown-in insulation without turning the project into a renovation. In some situations, it can be added on top of the insulation that's already there, making it a practical option when the goal is, at its simplest, adding enough insulation so that your attic does its job.


AC (and heat!) problems can be caused by lots of things, be it your ductwork or an aging HVAC unit. But quite often, the HVAC system is pulling its weight while the insulation is letting your comfort leak out of your roof.
